Aayla Secura by Mikesw1234 Aayla Secura by Mikesw1234
Awesome commission done by Mypkajiit of the sexiest non-human in Star Wars!

Aayla Secura was a female Twi'lek Jedi Knight known for her striking beauty and skill in battle.

She was rescued from slavery as a child by Jedi Master Quinlan Vos whom she would later serve under the tutelage of. She eventually became a full fledged Knight in her own right and served as a General during the Clone Wars. While Aayla had a brief romantic fling with fellow Knight Kit Fisto, the two quickly broke it off, believing that it would complicate their commitment to the Jedi Code.

Like many Twi'lek women, Miss Secura was proud of her beauty and physique and more often than not would wear clothing that flaunted it, only very rarely putting on traditional Jedi robes. Her outfits were still practical despite this, though it made her atypical among other female humanoid Jedi.

Aayla was tragically shot in the back by her own clone soldiers and murdered in the final days of the Clone Wars when the Sith Lord Palpatine gave the Galaxy-wide command to execute Order 66. Despite the close bond that had formed between her and all of her Clonetroopers over the War's course, especially the unit leader Commander Bly, they nonetheless carried out the order. It is very unlikely that Aayla even had a chance to fully grasp what was happening.

Great character - shame she was redshirted so pointlessly in the abysmal pre-sequels, when they did so much work with her in the comics.

Our own Ardanna Cynn is pretty much a homage to her, of course.

Just about everyone from the Old Republic/Clone Wars comics was redshited in the end except for Vos.

Yeah. She's like "I don't give a shit how conservative we Jedi are suppose to be. I'm sexy and I'm gunna show it off to the whole damn galaxy! Don't care what anyone else thinks!"

She does get a prominent role in one episode in the Clone Wars animated series. Voiced by Jennifer Hale believe it or not!

To be fair, Aayla's outfit, while brief, isn't really slutty like Darth Talon or something! Ryloth is warm, so people probably wear less.  Quite a few twi'leks in the lore show their midriffs.

When we resigned the Jedi, we decided they had an old-fashioned, elegant look common to the Old Republic - roman or Grecian like togas or 1920's Art Deco -  rather than the thrift-store chic of the movies. Ours are more like the nobles in Dune, the aristocrats and protectors of the Old Republic.  Of course, some might wear more or less - Kaiya is sort of like the Asari Councillor in ME, so she dresses  to look appealing.  Cory is an urban Jedi so she wears racy gang-gal clothes.

Not anymore. The Twi'leks we see in the Clone Wars wear revealing dresses but nothing like Aayla's outfit. I haven't read enough of the older comics to see how it was in the old continuity though.

Even so, I don't think Aayla was being overly sexy, it's just a semi-practical outfit, skimpy but quite basic, not like the lingerie dresses in ME or something. :)

I think Clone Wars and all those Disney things are pretty much aimed at kids, so I wouldn't expect to see too many revealing things there.

In the old continuity, she was quite a serious and focused sort, not a seductress or anything.

I suppose though all she'd have to do to seduce me is just keep on wearing what she's wearing. That's she's so serious and focused makes her even hotter! Then again remember, get enough Corellian Whiskey into a Twi'lek girl... :)

Know you probably won't listen, but there are episodes of the Clone Wars that are worth your time. Some of them get into some surprisingly dark and mature subject matter.

Yeah, but Aayla was, I believe, made to be different from the 'Twi'lek = stripper' archetype. :)

I've just never got on with the Disney stuff.  I hate the direction, I hate the art.  That's party why I decided to run our SW game, because I've disliked everything since the pre-sequels.  I didn't mind the early EU, at least it tried to move forward instead of always looking backwards. :(

I agree fully on the disney part, I think They have been very disrespective to the fans and eu writers in the direction they have taken. I do like the clone wars series, (Rebels sucks though) but for me canon will always be the republic comic series, which I think is brilliant and really fleshed out all the other jedi. I also love the old republic and tales of the jedi series.

The direction has it's flaws I'll grant you that. The art does take some getting used to but I think female humanoids have always looked good. The one aspect of the series that I really enjoy is the look at the Clonetroopers. Voice actor Dee Bradly Baker is the voice for all clone characters but he makes sure each one (or each prominent clone anyway which there are several) sounds like a different person while still sounding like a clone which is no easy task. There's a trilogy of episodes, "Clone Cadets," "Rookies" and "Arc Troopers" that I strongly recommend you try watching. If you really can't get into them I'll stop bugging you about it. :)
